You can either type generic items because you are setting up a schedule template, or you can type in actual specific information for a specific schedule, such as an actual location instead of the text “location.”Īdd text to the schedule for your specific needs, such as an hour-by-hour detail of the upcoming event, names and contact information for the people you’ll be seeing or fields that say “Name” and “Contact” as well as a list of items that may be required for the event. Highlight the first instance of text to change, such as where Word has “Your name.” Type what you prefer the template to show, such as “Company name” or “Department name.” As you type, you may have to adjust lines or spacing on the template if your words are longer or shorter than the template.Ĭontinue to highlight and type over text throughout the template. ![]() Double-click a template to open it in a new Word window and scroll through the page to get an idea of what’s included. ![]() Keep in mind that all of Word’s templates are customizable.
